Community association management is an exciting but demanding career path requiring the balance of many specialized skills. Great association management teams stay current on today’s trends, best practices, and new opportunities to help HOAs to thrive.
At Keystone, we recognize the importance of supporting the HOA boards we serve by providing consistent presence, industry knowledge, and valuable guidance to new and incumbent board members. For these reasons, we prioritize ongoing learning for our managers. Part of what keeps us on the cutting edge of community association management is our commitment to hiring experienced managers who continue to develop their professional skills and apply innovative ideas to their daily jobs.
We take an extremely deliberate approach to vetting and hiring top-notch talent whose attitude and performance align with our core values and who are working toward building a lasting career in community management.
We are very proud of all of our team members who have put in the extra time and effort to achieve important industry designations and we’d like to recognize those who recently earned their designations:
CAI & CAMICB DESIGNATIONS
PCAM: Professional Community Association Manager
Earning this designation requires at least five years of professional experience, completion of multiple courses, and in-depth, practical application of cutting-edge management practices. PCAM certification is the pinnacle of professional recognition for community association management. We congratulate our Community Managers Jeanean Gillespie, Michael Gonzalez, Marty Ignacio, Danielle Salinas, and Karen Thompson for earning their recent PCAM designations!
To become an Accredited Association Management Company (AAMC) by the Community Associations Institute (CAI), management companies must have at least one PCAM certification in their organization. For many companies, this designation is held by their president or another administrator who rarely interfaces with HOA clients.
At Keystone, our many PCAM-certified managers are the “boots-on-the-ground” team members, applying their deep knowledge and expertise to support the companies we manage.
AMS: Association Management Specialist
Per CAI, this prestigious designation indicates that recipients demonstrate a higher level of “knowledge, ethics, professionalism, and skills with verifiable experience in financial, administrative, and facilities management” in at least one community association. Congratulations to Jo Benjamins for obtaining her AMS designation.
CMCA: Certified Manager of Community Associations
Issued by Community Association Managers International Certification Board (CAMICB), the CMCA designation is the only internationally accredited certification program in the field. CMCAs are recognized for their skills and knowledge in community association management. Kudos to Claire Fullerton for completing this certification course.
